Horseback riding lessons for Yelm riders
Our lessons are located in Roy, Washington, serving riders from Yelm, McKenna and surrounding areas. BHP has one home base in Roy; this is not a Yelm lesson location. April confirms the location and availability when responding to your request. See our service area for more information.
Beginners, kids and adults welcome
You can start with no riding experience. Beginner horse lessons introduce safe handling, grooming, saddling, balance, steering and stopping. Kids and adults build confidence at a pace that suits their experience. Adults starting from scratch can explore adult beginner riding lessons in Roy.
A beginner-friendly lesson horse is available, and riders may also bring their own horse. Tell April which option you prefer when booking.
Private Western riding and horsemanship
Private riding lessons offer individual instruction shaped around your goals. Western riding and horsemanship build communication, balance and safe habits both on the ground and in the saddle. You do not need competition goals to enjoy learning.
