Where lessons take place
BHP is located in Roy, Washington (98580). Lessons are held at the BHP property in Roy, or at a local arena when that's the better fit for the lesson and rider. The exact location is confirmed when April follows up on your lesson request.
BHP does not have locations in other towns and doesn't travel to hold lessons in each community listed below. Riders come to Roy.
Communities riders come from
Roy sits in rural south Pierce County, close to the Thurston County line, which makes it a practical meeting point for riders from several directions.
Yelm and McKenna

Spanaway
Spanaway lies to the north along SR 507, next to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Military families in the Spanaway and Parkland area are welcome, and because BHP has lesson horses, kids and adults can start riding without owning a horse, which helps if you may relocate.
Graham
Graham is to the northeast of Roy. If you keep a horse in the Graham area, you're welcome to bring your own horse to lessons as well as ride a BHP lesson horse.
Eatonville
Eatonville is southeast of Roy, toward the foothills. Eatonville riders can choose from every lesson BHP teaches, from beginner lessons to Western riding and horsemanship and speed events.
Puyallup and Tacoma
Puyallup and Tacoma are farther north, so lessons in Roy mean a longer drive. For city riders without a horse, BHP's beginner-friendly lesson horses mean there's no need to own or board one to learn. Settling on a regular lesson time makes the drive easier to plan around.

Riders from elsewhere in Pierce and Thurston counties are welcome too. If you're not sure whether Roy is practical for you, send a request and ask.
